My increasing interest in Black Metal music has now spilt over into the artwork I am currently making. When asked to do a show of recent work at the Intoxica Gallery in London I decided that the show should reflect my growing interest in this music and the mindset that helped to create the phenomenon.
Artfang is a show that mixes the mediums of printing, drawing, painting and collage together in an attempt to create a visual equivalent of Black Metal music - or at least my personal vision of the beautiful damage it does while swirling around my brain. Rather than feeling depressed while engaged in producing the work for this show, however, I felt more elated and thrilled by the images as they came pouring out of me.
